When someone visits your blog, if they are not added as a subscriber, they’ll see something like this following:
You’ll see this too, if you visit a blog to which you’ve not been added as a subscriber. To be added, you’d need to click on “Add Me!” and wait for the blog’s user to confirm via email. You’ll need to enter a name the person who owns the site to which you’re requesting access will recognize. If you are the blog’s owner, you’ll get an email that looks like the following:
If you want to approve this user, click the link in the email. You’ll be taken to the “Add User” screen. You’ll see a section called “Add Requests.” The user should be listed there, with a button to add them. Click the button. The system will send them the confirmation email and once they complete the confirmation, they’ll be added. As long as they don’t accept confirmation, their name will remain in the ‘Add Requests’ list.
If you’re successful, your user will get an email with a confirmation link. They’ll need to click on it to complete the adding process. The email should look like the one pictured below:
Once they do this, they’ll be added and can read your blog.
